The state I’m living in Can’t find anything It’s causing some distress The more I tidy (the more I make a mess) Got myself in a fix Always over commit Just Trying to do what’s best The more I tidy (the more I make a mess) Is it a crime Am I out of line? Why do I bother? Things were just fine There’s no excuse I can confess The more I tidy (the more I make a mess) No point in turning back - got to cover up my tracks Get things off my chest The more I tidy (the more I make a mess) The more I tidy (the more I make a mess) Is it a crime Am I out of line? Why do I bother? Things were just fine My only excuse – I have to confess The more I tidy (the more I make a mess)

about

The first of two, maybe even 3, EPs in 2023. Track one is a slightly inaccurate examination of imposter syndrome. The second track is about seeing some light at the end of a working tunnel. The third is a metaphorical look at an untidiness. It took a good chunk of 2022 to get these finished although ironically all three total little over 7 minutes.

about

The Gluespots UK

Hampshire brothers Jim and Dave, aided by Geoff, Rod, Leo and other compadres, The Gluespots write songs and record them. What do they sound like? Essentially indie- acoustic but with occasional unlikely forays into synths and rock and roll.
